Mashujaa FC is a Tanzanian football club from Kigoma, a city near the eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. The team plays home matches at Lake Tanganyika Stadium and represents western Tanzania in the national football system.
The club spent several seasons outside the top division before it earned a place among Tanzania’s leading sides. Mashujaa competed in the Championship during 2022/23, then joined the Premier League for the 2023/24 campaign. Its first season at that level ended with an eighth-place finish, a respectable start for a newly promoted club. Mashujaa improved to seventh in 2024/25 and secured another season among the country’s strongest domestic teams.
Cup football has also provided useful tests against clubs from different parts of Tanzania. Mashujaa took part in the CRDB Federation Cup and reached the quarter-finals during the 2025/26 edition. Its run ended against Azam after an earlier knockout victory over Geita Gold on penalties. A year before, the club had also appeared in the same national cup competition.
