Strasbourg vs PSG Prediction, H2H Stats & Statistical Bets 17 October 2026
🔊 PSG arrive in Strasbourg three days after facing Manchester and three days before Barcelona. The press are therefore expecting Luis Enrique to rest some of his key players. The reshuffled side will face an awkward opponent. Strasbourg have lost their last two matches, but at home they have scored against PSG in 12 consecutive head-to-head meetings. Which will prove stronger - that home scoring run or the champion's bench depth?
🔁 We will update this prediction as new information about the teams becomes available. Check back just before kick-off so you don't miss any important changes.
Head-to-Head
📊 In three successive meetings with PSG, Strasbourg have not lost by more than one goal. But they have won just once in that run - in May 2025 at the Meinau - and that is their only win in the last 18 head-to-head matches. Last autumn at the Parc des Princes, Strasbourg led 3-1, with striker Joaquin Panichelli scoring twice. PSG salvaged a point only 11 minutes from time when Senny Mayulu converted a rebound to make it 3-3. In February at the Meinau, PSG were reduced to ten men after Achraf Hakimi was sent off, but even with the numerical disadvantage the visitors held on: on 81 minutes, Nuno Mendes headed in the winner to make it 2-1. Panichelli has been recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture since the spring, so the hero of that autumn match will not be available on Saturday.
Head-to-head statistics Strasbourg - PSG

Strasbourg: bursts of energy without control
Strasbourg's season has been stop-start. Hugo Oliveira's side scored six against Troyes and took a point off Monaco, but then lost to Paris and Nice. Seven points leaves Strasbourg in 11th place, with leaders Monaco on twice as many. The Nice defeat showed what the team are lacking. Midfielder Dário Essugo put them ahead with a strike from around 25 metres, but Pape Demba Diop turned the ball into his own net in first-half stoppage time. After the break Strasbourg failed to register a single shot on target, and Jonathan Clauss sealed the win for Nice late on.
Oliveira made no excuses after the match. Eighteen Strasbourg players had gone away on international duty during the three-week break, but the manager was direct about the problem: "This is a young team with a great desire to do things right. But desire alone is not enough. You need intelligence, control, you need to make the right decisions." Oliveira also singled out goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen, on loan from Chelsea, for praise.

PSG: Five Wins on the Bounce and a Deep Bench
PSG have won five matches in a row and turned around a worrying start to the season. After three rounds they had two points; now they have 11, and the gap to Monaco has been cut to three. The most high-profile of those five wins came on Wednesday in Manchester, where the score was 3-0 by the 32nd minute. Désiré Doué drove low from outside the box, then shortly after played in Ousmane Dembélé, who headed home. Vitinha added the third. After the break, Erling Haaland pulled two back, but PSG held on to their two-goal cushion until the end - 4-2.
It is not just the first team carrying the run. Against Le Mans, Dembélé and Nuno Mendes were rested, and PSG found the first hour hard going. Lucas Beraldo opened the scoring from the penalty spot, but Le Mans levelled after the break. Luis Enrique then made four substitutions almost simultaneously. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, one of those brought on, was first to react to a rebound two minutes after coming on. The evening ended 3-1, and the manager described the result as almost perfect. A similar squad is expected to face Strasbourg.

Latest news
Strasbourg Alsace
❓ Oliveira may be able to bring back some of those who missed the Nice match. According to the local press, on Tuesday Ismaël Doukouré, Deivy Washington and Marcial Godo - who has not played since the start of August - were partially involved in group training.
Sébastien Nanasi, according to the same press reports, will not be ready in time for the PSG match. No timeframe for his return has been given. Essugu and Jessim Yasin did gym work after the Nice match, and their availability for Saturday is in doubt.
Paris Saint-Germain
❓ The main question for Luis Enrique is rotation. On 20 October PSG host Barcelona in the Champions League, and on the 25th they face Lyon. Senny Mayulu is out for around a month, according to the club. Warren Zaire-Emery picked up an injury with the France national team but started in Manchester.
Predicted Lineups
📋 Predicted starting XI for Strasbourg: Jorgensen - Antwi, Mitchell, Coulibaly, Oso - Diop, Essugo - Amo-Ameyaw, Sousa, Yassine - Harder.
📋 Predicted starting XI for PSG: Safonov - Hakimi, Zabarnyi, Hernandez, Digne - Joao Neves, Beraldo, Dro Fernandez - Akliouche, Ferran Torres, Kvaratskhelia.
⚽️ Goals Prediction
PSG have scored in 25 consecutive Ligue 1 matches, and that run is unlikely to end on Saturday. The champions have been less reliable at the back, keeping just one clean sheet in 12 matches - away at Brest. Strasbourg, for their part, have scored in 9 of their last 10 Ligue 1 matches. We expect goals at both ends. The bet is Both Teams to Score - Yes.
🚩 Corners Prediction
Fewer than 11 corners were taken in 9 of PSG's last 10 matches, and in 11 of their last 12 away matches. Strasbourg are modest in this regard too: they have had more than four corners in just one of their last eight Ligue 1 matches. Over their last 10 official matches, Oliveira's side have taken just 27 corners in total. PSG are unlikely to contribute much either. Even in Manchester, PSG had only two corners while City had 11. We expect the total to stay below 11. The bet is Total Corners - Under 10.5.
🟨 Yellow Cards Prediction
The only Ligue 1 match PSG have played without a yellow card this season was against Le Mans. They picked up two bookings each at Rennes and Brest. Across their last 10 official matches, Luis Enrique's players have accumulated 11 yellow cards. More tellingly, PSG have not gone without a booking in a single away match - either in the league or in Manchester. We expect at least one at La Meinau. The bet is PSG Team Total Yellow Cards - Over 0.5.
🚀 Player Stat Bet
Akliouche has scored in PSG's last two matches. He joined from Monaco in the summer and opened his account for the club against Le Mans. After a pass from Zaïre-Emery, Maghnes struck from distance to make it 3-1. In Manchester, Akliouche held off City's defenders and finished with his left foot. Luis Enrique has admitted he likes everything the new signing does. Akliouche has featured both in the rotated side and in the starting XI, so he is unlikely to be affected by rotation. The bet is Akliouche to Score.
😱 Risky Bet
PSG's last two wins at La Meinau both ended 2-1. In February, PSG held on with ten men, with Nuno Mendes heading in the winner on 81 minutes. Recent trends point to a similar story. PSG have won five matches in a row, but they have not scored more than two goals in an away Ligue 1 match in six consecutive games. Strasbourg, meanwhile, have scored in 12 consecutive home head-to-head meetings. The risk is a fair one - in Manchester the champions scored three times in half an hour. But with a rotated squad ahead of the Barcelona match, we expect PSG to win by exactly one goal. The bet is PSG to Win by One Goal at 4.50*.
🎯 Reliable Bet
PSG do not tend to rack up corners. They have not had eight or more corners in seven consecutive matches. Away at Strasbourg in Ligue 1, they have not reached that mark in six consecutive meetings. Over their last 10 official matches, PSG have taken 49 corners in total, and exceeded seven only once - ten at Rennes. This bet comes in even if PSG take seven. The bet is PSG Team Total Corners - Under 7.5 at 1.25*.
👀 If the Match Goes Off Script
The likely scenario is a rotated PSG winning by one goal with Strasbourg finding the net at least once. An early PSG goal, as happened on Wednesday in Manchester, could change that. The hosts would then need to open up, and PSG have scored against Strasbourg in 18 consecutive head-to-head meetings after the break. In that case, watch in-play for PSG to Win by Two or More Goals (Handicap -1.5) and Total Goals - Over 3.5.

📌 Editorial Prediction
At the Meno, PSG rarely win by a comfortable margin: in 15 of the last 16 head-to-head meetings there, Strasbourg have not lost by more than one goal. Across a run of 13 matches, Oliveira's side have been beaten heavily just once. PSG away from home rarely hit high scoring form either: more than two goals just once in nine away matches. Add in rotation ahead of the Barcelona game, and a two-goal winning margin looks a high bar for the champions. We're backing Strasbourg not to lose by more than one goal here again. The bet is Strasbourg - Handicap +1.5. Predicted score: 1-2.
