Aarhus vs Braga Prediction, H2H Stats & Statistical Bets 5 November 2026
๐ Danish champions Aarhus are still searching for their first Conference League win after two rounds. Jacob Poulsenโs side have one point and just one goal to their name. Their next opponents pose a particular challenge in attack: Braga have kept clean sheets in seven of their last eight matches in the competition. Under new coach Franklin Carvalho, the Portuguese side have already beaten Gent without conceding. Can the Danish champions find a way through?
Head-to-Head
๐ Aarhus and Braga have never met in a competitive match, but they have faced a common opponent this autumn: Copenhagen. Braga lost 3-0 to them in the opening round of the Conference League, while Aarhus took a point away from the Danish capital in the domestic league. The Danish side have already tested themselves against the team who thrashed the Portuguese side.

Aarhus: The champions outgrowing European competition
Jacob Poulsen led Aarhus to their first league title in 40 years and was named Denmarkโs coach of the year. European competition has proved tougher for the champions this autumn. Poulsen rested several regulars in Gent, where the Belgian side scored the only goal late on. Aarhus have one point and sit 26th out of 36 teams in the league phase.
Aarhus had to come from behind with ten men to earn a point against Egnatia. Defender Eric Kahl was sent off in the opening minutes, and the Albanian side took the lead soon after. Eighteen-year-old James Bogere came on for the second half and equalised from a Sebastian Jรธrgensen assist. Bogere started against Brรธndby on Sunday, but Aarhus failed to score and lost away from home by two goals.

Braga: New Manager and First Clean-Sheet Wins
Braga changed managers in mid-autumn, sacking Carlos Vicens on 20 October after a third straight defeat. Franklin Carvalho, a former assistant to Artur Jorge at Braga, took charge. His debut made an immediate impression: at half-time against Gent, he told the players that five shots in a half were not enough. Braga had 17 attempts after the break, won the match and claimed their first points of the competition.
That did not bring lasting consistency. Braga lost away to Nacional in Madeira, then went out of the League Cup on penalties after a draw with Famalicรฃo. On Sunday, they thrashed the same opponents in the league to end a four-match winless run in the Primeira Liga. โWeโre human and we feel the pressure. There was a bit of a weight on us, and we played with more freedom,โ Carvalho explained. He added that Braga needed to win on Thursday. They have three points in the Conference League and sit 16th.

Predicted line-ups
๐ Aarhus predicted starting XI: Hansen - Molgaard, Tingager, Gretarsson - Anderson, Arnstad, Solbakken, Emmery - Beck, McCowatt - Bogere.
๐ Braga predicted starting XI: Bernardo Fontes - Gomez, Barcia, Barisic, Travassos - Moutinho, Carvalho - Martinez Aguilera, Horta, Dorgeles - Navarro.
Total Goals Prediction
At least two goals have been scored in 25 of Aarhusโs last 26 matches. The only exception was their defeat in Ghent in the opening round of the Conference League. Each of the Danish sideโs last ten home games has also featured at least two goals. Braga have a similar record, with at least two goals in six of their last seven matches. Their only exception came in Madeira. We expect at least two goals here. The pick is over 1.5 goals at odds of 1.30*.
Corners Prediction
There have been more than eight corners in each of Aarhusโ last seven matches. The Danes win plenty themselves but also concede almost as many: across eight matches since mid-September for which full statistics are available, Aarhus have taken 45 corners and their opponents 44. In seven comparable matches, Braga have won 43 corners and conceded just 20. The Portuguese side took 12 corners to Famalicรฃoโs two in their cup meeting. We expect Braga to pin the hosts back around their penalty area and the corner count to reach at least nine. The pick is over 8.5 total corners at odds of 1.67*.
Yellow Cards Prediction
More than two yellow cards were shown in 10 of the 15 Aarhus and Braga matches since mid-September for which full statistics are available. Bragaโs games have been more physical: referees issued 32 yellows across seven of their matches, compared with 29 in eight Aarhus games. Bragaโs latest match, against Famalicรฃo, was the most heated of the lot. Eight yellow cards were shown, with one visiting player sent off for a second booking. We expect at least three cautions. The bet is over 2.5 total yellow cards.
๐ Editorโs prediction
Braga have lost just one of their last eight Conference League matches - away in Copenhagen on the opening matchday of this seasonโs league phase. They kept clean sheets in the other seven. Aarhus, by contrast, have struggled in front of goal in Europe, scoring just once in two matches - and that goal came while they were down to ten men. Braga have already recorded two shutout wins under Franklin Carvalho, and the coach has called Thursdayโs match one they need to win. We expect the visitors to leave Denmark with at least a point, though a win looks more likely. The pick is Braga to win with a (0) handicap. Score prediction: 0-2.
