📊 The two sides last met in February 2025 in the Round of 16 of the Coupe de France. Le Mans were in the Nationale, the third division, and hosted PSG. The Parisians won 2-0. As early as the 25th minute, Désiré Doué punished Le Mans for a defensive error, and on 71 minutes Bradley Barcola converted a pass from Nuno Mendes. Since then, Le Mans have risen two divisions, while Doué and Nuno Mendes continue to start for PSG.
Head-to-head statistics PSG - Le Mans

PSG: Their Worst Start in 14 Years and a Turnaround Before the Break
PSG began the season with a run of poor results. The Trophée des Champions went to Lens, and after three Ligue 1 rounds the Parisians had just two points - draws at Rennes and Lille and a home defeat to Monaco. It was the worst start to a season for the French champions in 14 years.
The turnaround began in the Champions League, where PSG thrashed Slovan 6-1. Luis Enrique's side then picked up three points at both Brest and Marseille, with Ferran Torres scoring first on both occasions. PSG now have eight points and sit sixth, five behind leaders Monaco.
Match Results: Paris Saint-Germain

Le Mans: the newcomers outscoring the reigning champions
Patrick Vieira took charge of Le Mans in 2024 when the club were playing in the Nationale, and has since guided them through two consecutive promotions. The newly promoted side have not been lost in the top flight: they have lost just once so far - away at Rennes, by a single goal. Draws with Brest, Nice and Lens, plus a win over Lorient, have brought them six points and ninth place. Le Mans have scored nine goals - one more than PSG.
The attack does not rely on a single player. Luís Mafuta scored in both of the opening two rounds and became the first player in the club's history to do so in Ligue 1. Before the international break, others stepped up: against Lorient, Adil Bouraba opened the scoring in the third minute, and Abib Diallo headed in a corner. Goalkeeper Nicolas Cotsik also made his mark early in the season, with the league nominating one of his saves for the best in the division.

Latest news
Paris Saint-Germain
❓ Luis Enrique is facing several injury concerns after the international break. Senny Mayulu picked up a thigh injury while playing for France's youth side and, according to the club, will be out for at least four weeks. Warren Zaïre-Emery suffered a minor thigh injury back in the Marseille match and withdrew from the France squad. The medical staff are not concerned, according to the French press as of 7 October, but his availability for the match is not guaranteed. Ferran Torres returned early from the Spain squad with ankle pain that had been troubling him before the break, and the coaching staff may decide to give him some rest. Achraf Hakimi is also a doubt: he did not play in the Marseille match and only came on for a few minutes for Morocco during the break. PSG's schedule is a demanding one: they play Manchester City in Manchester on 14 October, then travel to Strasbourg on the 17th, before hosting Barcelona on the 20th.
Le Mans
❓ Vieira has lost Djibril Sidibé. The 2018 World Cup winner picked up a yellow card in the match against Lorient, which triggered a suspended ban that had been hanging over him following his red card at Rennes - when the defender had spent just 43 seconds on the pitch after coming on as a substitute. Lucas Buades, Marten Rossignol and Erwan Colas all missed the Lorient match through injury. Buades had already been ruled out before the trip to Lens after picking up a training ground injury, and the club were planning to assess his return to full training during the break.
Predicted Lineups
📋 Predicted starting XI for PSG: Safonov - Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes - Joao Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz - Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia.
📋 Predicted starting XI for Le Mans: Kocik - Lauray, Yohou, Voyer - Bamba, Bourabaa, Bretelle, Vercruysse, Larouci - Diallo, Mafouta.
⚽️ Goals prediction
PSG have not scored four or more goals in 13 consecutive Ligue 1 matches. Their ceiling in the current season is even lower: two goals against Rennes, Lille and Marseille, one against Monaco and one away at Brest. On the other side, Le Mans have conceded more than two only at Rennes. We are not expecting four goals from PSG. The bet is PSG Team Total - Under 3.5.
🚩 Corners prediction
There have been fewer than 11 corners in seven consecutive PSG matches. Paris take plenty but leave opponents almost nothing: across their last 10 official matches, PSG have taken 57 corners while their opponents have managed 18. In Le Mans's last 10 official matches there were 86 corners in total, with the newly promoted side taking 39 of them. We expect the total to fall short of 11. The bet is Total Corners - Under 10.5.
🟨 Yellow cards prediction
PSG have received more than two yellow cards in just one of their last 11 matches. Across their last 10 official matches, Luis Enrique's players have collected 13 bookings, while their opponents have been shown 20. Even in the Classique, Paris had just one yellow - Nuno Mendes - while Marseille picked up four, including two for the sent-off Timothy Weah. Le Mans will have more defending to do on Saturday, which means more reason to foul. The bet is PSG Team Total Yellow Cards - Under 2.5.
🚀 Player statistic bet
The threat from PSG this season does not come from attack alone. Captain Marquinhos has scored three goals in five matches this season - a remarkable rate for a centre-back. His most recent goal was the winner: in Marseille, Ángel Gómez equalised, but the Brazilian headed in from close range after a corner to put Paris back in front. If Ferran Torres does not play, Marquinhos's role in the opposition box will only grow. The bet is Marquinhos to Score.
😱 Risky bet
Le Mans have conceded by a margin of three or more goals just once in their last 45 matches. Their only Ligue 1 defeat this season came by a single goal. PSG, too, have so far been content with narrow wins in the league - at Brest and at Marseille. The risk is fair: the gap in quality between the sides is enormous, and PSG have already produced a rout in the Champions League this season. But if you are looking for a long price, this is where to find it. The bet is Le Mans with Handicap (+2.0) at 3.17*.
🎯 Reliable bet
Le Mans matches have not produced more than five goals in 11 consecutive games. PSG's bar is even lower: in Ligue 1, the combined goals total has been under five in 18 consecutive matches. Our bet lands at any scoreline with five goals or fewer. Even 4-1 would not break it. The bet is Total Goals - Under 5.5 at 1.30*.
👀 If the match does not follow the script
The likely scenario is PSG dominating possession and winning by a single goal, with Le Mans contributing one of their own. That script breaks if the newly promoted side score first: Le Mans have scored in the first half in eight consecutive matches. In that case, Paris would need to open up and the game could become end-to-end. If that happens, keep an eye in-play on bets for four or more goals and on Le Mans not to lose. Bear those markets in mind if the visitors take the lead inside the first half hour.

📌 Editorial Prediction
Clean sheets have been almost non-existent for the French champions this season. PSG have conceded in 8 of their last 9 matches, with the only exception being Brest. Le Mans, for their part, have scored in nine consecutive matches. Their defence has also looked vulnerable in all five of their Ligue 1 fixtures this season, so we're expecting both teams to find the net. A home win is the logical outcome, but with Le Mans getting on the scoresheet. The bet is Both Teams to Score - Yes. Predicted score: 2-1.
