Barys Astana Team Overview
The Kazakh club approached their away match riding a winning streak since December 18. Barys triumphed over the Shanghai Dragons (8-4) during the KHL World Star Game in China, and then secured a victory against Amur (3-0) on the road. After their win in Khabarovsk, the "Snow Leopards" still have a shot at claiming the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference. To achieve this, they need to defeat Admiral three times and then at least pick up points in Novosibirsk, while hoping for slip-ups from the "Tigers".
Despite these two victories, Barys remain the worst-performing team on the road in the Eastern Conference, having collected only 33.9% of points away from Astana. In terms of scoring in away games, Mikhail Kravets' squad shares the last place with Admiral, averaging just 2.23 goals per game.
