Strasbourg vs Auxerre Prediction, H2H Stats & Statistical Bets 1 November 2026
🔊 Racing Strasbourg and Auxerre have the worst defences in Ligue 1, with both sides having conceded 18 goals. Strasbourg have also lost four matches in a row and dropped to 16th place, which is the relegation play-off position. Auxerre, on ten points, are three points clear of that zone. On the other hand, Strasbourg have gone unbeaten in seven of their last eight head-to-head meetings. Will that be enough to end their current losing run?
Head-to-Head
📊 Auxerre have given Racing Strasbourg little trouble for some time. Their only win in the last eight head-to-head meetings came back in August 2022. Strasbourg are particularly confident at home: last season they thrashed Auxerre at La Meinau (3-0). The most recent meeting, played in the spring in Auxerre, ended goalless.
Head-to-head statistics Strasbourg - Auxerre

Racing Strasbourg: five matches without a win and poor form after the break
Strasbourg are going through the worst run of the season. Hugo Oliveira's side last won three points on 6 September, when they thrashed Troyes away from home. Since then they have picked up just one point in Ligue 1 - a draw with Monaco. At Rennes, the defence held for over half an hour, but conceded twice before the break and the Alsatians went on to lose 0-3.
Oliveira, who took charge of the club this summer, sees only one way out. "The only solution is a reaction. A reaction and hard work," the manager said. Strasbourg's most pressing need is to improve in the second half of matches. Against PSG on 17 October, they went into the break ahead, only for the Parisians to score three times after it. At Rennes, Strasbourg also conceded their third goal after the interval, on the 61st minute.

Auxerre: ten points from five matches and a dispute with the system
Auxerre have pulled themselves out of the hole they fell into at the start of the season. Will Still's side lost their first three Ligue 1 matches, then picked up all their points across the following five rounds. Ahead of the match against Le Mans, Still described the recent run as "good and interesting", but warned that without three points such a result "counts for nothing".
Still believes Auxerre were denied two points by technology. After the break, Le Mans midfielder Lucas Buades headed at goal. Goalkeeper Paul Nardi stopped the ball, which then deflected off Auxerre's Danny Namaso and crossed the line. The referee allowed play to continue, but was then alerted to a goal by the clock. "In the 3D replay you can see Paul's glove," Still said, clearly frustrated. Cameron Archer equalised shortly afterwards, and the two sides shared the points.

Total Goals Prediction
Auxerre have not scored more than one goal against Racing Strasbourg in eight consecutive head-to-head meetings. In the last two of those, they failed to score at all. That said, Auxerre have not been held scoreless across their last 13 matches. We expect no more than one goal from Auxerre here. The bet is Auxerre Team Total - Under 1.5 at 1.40*.
Corners Prediction
Fewer than nine corners have been recorded in none of Racing Strasbourg's last 14 home matches in a row. Strasbourg themselves do not win many: across their last 10 official matches they have taken 27 corners compared to 51 for their opponents. Auxerre are keen to work the flag: 58 corners of their own and 59 conceded across their last 10 matches. Against Le Mans, Jean-Marc Still's side took seven corners while their opponents managed just one. We expect the tally to reach nine or more. The bet is Total Corners - Over 8.5 at 1.47*.
Yellow Cards Prediction
More than four yellow cards appeared in only three of the last 20 official matches involving these two clubs. Racing Strasbourg collected 16 bookings across their ten matches, while their opponents received 12. Auxerre's numbers are similar: 14 cards of their own and 17 for their opponents. Even in a tense match against Le Mans, where there was a dispute over a goal being awarded, the referee showed just three yellows. We are not expecting more than four bookings on Sunday. The bet is Total Yellow Cards - Under 4.5.

📌 Editorial Prediction
Racing Strasbourg rarely serve up dull matches: more than two goals have been scored in 9 of their last 10. The defence is the main reason - the hosts have conceded in 13 consecutive matches. Auxerre are no better at the back away from home, having let in 13 goals in four away Ligue 1 matches. We expect Racing Strasbourg to end their losing run, but not without at least three goals between the two sides. The bet is Total Goals - Over 2.5. Predicted score: 3-1.
