Cambodia vs Myanmar Prediction 27 September 2026
🔊 Cambodia have lost five consecutive head-to-head meetings with Myanmar. The last of those, however, was nearly eight years ago, at the 2018 ASEAN Championship. Now a place in the final is at stake, with only the group winners advancing. Myanmar have already beaten Timor-Leste (2-0), and another three points would put them out of reach.
Head-to-head statistics Cambodia - Myanmar

Cambodia Team Overview
Cambodia have been managed by Japanese coach Koji Gyotoku since September 2024. He has stated his target for the tournament plainly - first place in the group. There is some basis for that ambition: in June, Cambodia beat Hong Kong for the first time in their history. The goals that day were scored by Yudai Ogawa and Sieng Chantea, both of whom are in the current squad. The summer ASEAN Championship was more modest - fourth place out of five teams in the group. Their only win there came against East Timor, with striker Hav Soknet scoring a brace. Cambodia are formally the home side, but for both teams this is a neutral venue.

Myanmar Team Overview
Myanmar were taken over in July by Norwegian coach Jørn Andersen, who has previously managed the Hong Kong and North Korea national teams at various points in his career. He had two weeks to prepare for the ASEAN Championship. The team finished third in their group, behind Malaysia and Thailand. Win Naing Tun scored a hat-trick against Laos in that tournament, and opened the scoring at the start of the ASEAN Cup FIFA. At least two goals combined have been scored in nine consecutive Myanmar matches. When putting together his squad, Andersen had to account for injuries to veterans Maung Maung Lwin and Hein Phyo Win. However, several newcomers from clubs in the Myanmar league have been given their chance.

Total Goals Prediction
Cambodia's last four matches have all produced at least three goals. Over the summer, they lost 5-1 to Indonesia. Myanmar's defence has been equally leaky, conceding 17 goals in their last 10 matches. We don't expect this game to stay under three goals. The bet is Total Goals - Over 2.5.
Risky bet
Myanmar have scored 20 goals in their last 10 matches. Cambodia's defence is no obstacle: they conceded 10 goals at the summer ASEAN Championship. The risk is that seven of those 20 came in the match against Laos. Even so, the price is decent for a risky option. The bet is Myanmar Team Total - Over 1.5 at 2.30.
Correct Score Prediction
According to the algorithm's calculations, the top three most likely correct scores are 1-1 (11.46%), 2-1 (8.25%) and 1-2 (8.16%). A 1-1 draw is the most probable of the three, though the margins between the options are fairly small.
