Fan Zhengyi vs Liam Davies Result, Score & Stats

🔅 Fan Zhengyi and Liam Davies meet in the last 16 of the International Championship. The Chinese player are in excellent form, having beaten Judd Trump 6–5 and Pang Junxu 6–2 in successive rounds. The Welshman are also moving confidently through the draw, despite sitting well below his opponent in the rankings. Davies won their only previous head-to-head meeting 4–1, but Fan Zhengyi now have the chance to avenge that defeat on home soil.

We favour the Chinese player, who have already shown they can handle elite opposition. The win over Trump was particularly impressive: Fan Zhengyi held their nerve against one of the world’s best players to take the deciding frame. They then saw off Pang Junxu comfortably, conceding just two frames. Davies could make it competitive, but Fan Zhengyi’s current form is more convincing. Our prediction is a Fan Zhengyi win.
