Since 2014, the American fighter has been competing in the world of professional mixed martial arts. In 2016, despite a loss in the final of The Ultimate Fighter, he secured a contract with the UFC. An impressive five-fight winning streak earned him a title shot against Pereira last October, but he was defeated by the Brazilian via stoppage.
