Colby Covington vs Raul Rosas Jr

💣 Colby Covington and Raul Rosas Jr will meet at a Hype FC event in Rome. The bout will be contested under grappling rules, with each fighter given ten minutes to secure a submission. Covington was originally scheduled to face Dillon Danis, who withdrew from the event. Rosas stepped in on just three days’ notice. The young Mexican has won his last six MMA fights, while Covington has not competed in mixed martial arts since December 2024.

Despite Rosas’s winning streak, we give Covington the edge. The former interim UFC welterweight champion has a strong wrestling background and a significant size advantage. With striking off the table, the American can focus on control and positional grappling. Rosas has also had very little time to prepare for a heavier opponent. Our prediction: Colby Covington to win.
