Vitality vs 100 Thieves Prediction 12 August 2026
🔊 Just six months ago, this matchup would have barely caught your attention-you’d watch for ten seconds, back Vitality with a comfortable handicap, and move on. Now, things are far more intriguing. The “Bees” were the dominant force throughout last year, racking up trophy after trophy, but their last Major didn’t go according to plan. The new season hasn’t brought much joy either-Vitality suffered a clean sweep loss to Liquid at BLAST Bounty, leaving us to wonder what mindset they’ll bring into EWC.
On the other side, we have the ever-unpredictable 100 Thieves. Not long ago, this tag was drifting around the tier-three scene, but the organization pieced together a motley lineup that went on to knock Falcons out of BLAST. Ahead of EWC, the “Thieves” also battled through the open qualifiers-first denying s1mple a spot at the event, then closing out 1win in a decisive match. So for Vitality, this is anything but a walkover; they can’t afford to take this opponent lightly.
Head-to-Head
The current lineups have yet to face each other, as their last head-to-head dates all the way back to 2019. This only adds intrigue to the matchup: Vitality are set to take on this iteration of 100 Thieves for the first time, while rain and device will have their chance to challenge one of the scene’s established powerhouses with their new squad. There are, however, some benchmarks through shared opponents. The most notable is Falcons. Vitality have long been regulars in the tier-one scene alongside the “Falcons,” while 100 Thieves recently pulled off an upset by defeating them 2-1. Perhaps they’ll be able to put up a fight against the “Bees” as well.
Head-to-head statistics Vitality - 100T

Vitality Team Overview
After a wild run of silverware, Vitality have started to look more mortal. The core of apEX, ZywOo, ropz, flameZ, and mezii remains intact, but their recent results have been far from flawless. The Major exposed some issues that the Bees just couldn’t overcome. In this context, it’s especially interesting to focus on apEX. When Vitality hit their stride, ZywOo and ropz seem untouchable, and their opponents quickly lose composure after just a few rounds. But staying at your peak all the time is impossible. If they stumble out of the gate, mistakes creep in, individuals try to force plays, and that trademark French emotion starts flaring up between rounds.
Of course, against 100 Thieves, their firepower should be more than enough. ZywOo is still ZywOo, flanked by ropz, mezii, and flameZ. But in a Bo1, there’s no time to spend forty minutes searching for your rhythm-you could suddenly find yourself in a tight endgame, and from there, it’s a completely different kind of Counter-Strike.

100 Thieves Team Overview
This is definitely a team worth keeping an eye on. The current 100 Thieves roster features device, rain, poiii, sirah, and Gizmy, with the latter only joining in July and immediately taking over as in-game leader. This lineup doesn’t have many official maps under their belt just yet, so it’s too early to talk about consistency. Still, they’ve already made some noise. Their win over Falcons stands out as their biggest scalp so far-and it was no fluke. After a rough start on Nuke, they bounced back and turned the Bo3 around. Even against Spirit, they had their moments-pushing them to 11-13 on Anubis and taking Mirage 13-4. Granted, the decider on Dust2 ended in a brutal 0-13, a quick reminder of this team’s current ceiling.
Heading into EWC, the Thieves enjoyed a proper warm-up in the open qualifiers-five straight series wins with just a single map dropped. That means they come into the Vitality clash already firing on all cylinders. Veterans like device and rain are hard to rattle, while the young guns poiii, sirah, and Gizmy find themselves in an ideal spot-nobody expects them to win here. They can just go out and play with nothing to lose. That approach has already paid off against Falcons.

⭐ Editorial Prediction
Vitality are simply operating on another level-there’s no disputing their class. True, they stumbled against Liquid after the Major, while 100 Thieves have been riding a wave of momentum in recent weeks. But here, the format is key. In a Bo3, Vitality might drop a map, regroup with XTQZZZ, and then dominate the next two. In a Bo1, their deep map pool actually works in their favor-it's tough for anyone to find a comfort pick and hide from the "Bees". We’d steer clear of any massive handicap, but backing another upset from 100 Thieves doesn’t seem reasonable either. Our prediction: Vitality to win with a -4.5 round handicap. The "Bees" might let their opponents hang around longer than expected, but when it comes to crunch time against a weaker side, they should close it out convincingly.
