BetBoom vs FaZe Prediction 12 August 2026
🔊 BetBoom and FaZe head into EWC on a level playing field, sitting side by side in the current rankings. There’s little to separate the two lineups in terms of star power, either. Still, this matchup comes with a recent-and rather unpleasant-backstory for BetBoom. Just a month ago, the teams clashed in the XSE Pro League Guangzhou quarterfinals, where FaZe simply steamrolled BB. The 2-0 scoreline doesn’t even tell the whole story: the team ratings were 1.43 to 0.74 in FaZe’s favour. This time, though, it’s a single-map shootout in a Bo1 format instead of a Bo3. And here, that previous meeting doesn’t look like a cast-iron argument for FaZe anymore.
Head-to-Head
The most recent head-to-head between these sides took place at the XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026, where BetBoom suffered a heavy 0-2 defeat. On Cache, Boombl4’s squad were completely outclassed, falling 2-13, and managed to scrape together just six rounds on Ancient. Virtually the entire team struggled: Boombl4 finished the series with a 0.60 rating, S1ren posted 0.44, zorte had 0.69, while d1Ledez managed only 0.84. Meanwhile, FaZe saw frozen put on a show with 38 kills and a 109.8 ADR.

BetBoom Team Overview
BetBoom find themselves in an intriguing spot: despite fielding a stand-in, they impressed at the Major, surged into the global top 10, yet still don’t always look like a fully-fledged tier-one side. The results, though, are there. In Cologne, BB took down The MongolZ, Falcons, and FUT before heading to China, where they moved past SINNERS, BIG, and Nemesis-only to hit a wall against a team at their own level, with their Counter-Strike suddenly falling flat.
The constant roster shuffles remain a separate issue. Visa troubles have repeatedly disrupted their plans, and the current five-Boombl4, zorte, S1ren, d1Ledez, and Magnojez-are still building chemistry. Zorte has yet to rediscover his usual numbers, with his recent rating staying worryingly low. On the flip side, Magnojez continues to be the player capable of dragging BB out of tough rounds with pure aim. For Boombl4 and company, this is a prime chance to get revenge for Guangzhou. Crashing out to FaZe twice in a row in such toothless fashion would be hard to chalk up to just an off day.

FaZe Team Overview
FaZe are currently something of an intriguing work in progress. karrigan departed for Falcons back in the spring, broky was benched at the end of June, and Twistzz continues to call the shots as in-game leader. The Canadian made it clear ahead of BLAST that he’s committed to giving his all and growing into the leadership role as much as possible.
To fill the AWPer spot, FaZe brought in the young JBOEN, who has taken to top-tier CS with little hesitation: he’s posted a 1.16 rating over his first 19 maps with the team. In China, this new-look lineup already showed some promise. FaZe saw off SINNERS, 3DMAX, EYEBALLERS, and BB, only falling to PARIVISION in the semifinals. In other words, this revamped roster isn’t stuck in neutral-they’re gradually finding their footing.
Still, there are plenty of rough edges in their teamplay. Twistzz is juggling calling with putting up big numbers, jcobbb remains inconsistent, and JBOEN is just starting to get a taste of tier-one action. frozen continues to be the clearest win condition for this squad, but it will take more than one Slovenian star to consistently challenge the world’s elite.

⭐ Editorial Prediction
If you only look at the Guangzhou result, it's tempting to back FaZe. But that series shouldn’t be overvalued-BB completely collapsed as a unit, and it’s rare to see such a one-sided match-up between two closely matched teams. Plus, this time it’s a Bo1. Boombl4 has already seen what Twistzz and company can throw at him, and having time to prepare only boosts BB’s chances.
On the other hand, FaZe have genuinely come alive since their roster changes, so picking a clear winner here is tough. It makes far more sense to expect a proper battle, with neither side getting blown out in twenty minutes. Our prediction: over 20.5 rounds. After that 13:2 in China, BetBoom are due for payback, and in terms of actual quality, there’s no reason to expect another rout.
