Kings vs Heat Prediction 9 November 2026

Details
Key points

🏀 Sacramento host Miami in an NBA regular-season game. The home side are enduring one of the worst starts in franchise history and are still trying to find their rhythm. The visitors have also started the season inconsistently, but have much greater individual potential and a clear advantage in key positions. Fans expect a convincing win from the star-studded Heat.

    Head-to-Head

📊 Last season, the teams met twice, with each winning once away from home. Over their last five head-to-head games, Sacramento Kings hold a narrow 3-2 lead.

Sacramento: Acuff the only bright spot

The Sacramento Kings (1-8) have lost eight of their nine games, including four straight at home, and are close to matching the worst start in franchise history. The Western Conference strugglers were beaten 124-109 by San Antonio in their last game, as the Kings once again had no answer defensively. Sacramento’s only win of the season came in Dallas on 3 November, followed by defeats to the Lakers (103-116) and Spurs.

As they were a year ago, Sacramento are struggling defensively. Through nine games, they are conceding an average of 123.3 points and rank second-last in the league in defensive rating. Their offence (109.2 points) trails Miami’s (116), making the gap in efficiency even more pronounced. The only bright spot for Sacramento is rookie Akaff Jr., who recorded 22 points and 8 assists against the Spurs, but one player is not enough to compensate for the team’s systemic defensive shortcomings.

Miami: the machine continues to falter

Miami are still searching for a way to make their game work, and the process has proved far more difficult than expected. In their last game, the Heat lost to Golden State (100-120). Antetokounmpo recorded a double-double (20 points, 14 rebounds), but Miami committed 22 turnovers, which the Warriors turned into 28 points.

Four days earlier, Miami edged the Clippers in overtime (117-116) thanks to Thompson’s three-pointer in the final second. The contrast between those games is a clear sign that Spoelstra’s players lack confidence but, for now, cannot do anything about it. The Heat do, however, have something the Kings do not: Antetokounmpo and Adebayo, who are capable of overwhelming one of the league’s weakest frontcourts.

    Latest news

    Sacramento Kings

⛔ Raynaud is definitely out for the Kings, while Murray's availability is in doubt.

📋 Projected starting five: LaVine, Sabonis, Murray, Acuff Jr., Hunter.

    Miami Heat

✅ Everyone on Miami is available to play.

📋 Projected lineup: Antetokounmpo, Thompson, Wiggins, Adebayo, Mitchell.

    First-quarter prediction

Sacramento have scored more than 27.5 points in the first quarter in 7 of their last 8 home games. They average 28 points in that quarter across their home games this season, and 29.5 in their recent home games. We’re backing Kings first-quarter team total points over 27.5 at odds of 1.46.

    Total Points Prediction

The game total was under 242.5 points in 6 of Sacramento Kings’ last 7 home games. In head-to-head games, the total stayed below the tighter line of 241.5 in 15 of 16 games, though the hosts’ recent home results provide a more up-to-date basis. We’re backing Under 242.5 Total Points at odds of 1.57.

    Reliable Bet

Miami have scored fewer than 34.5 points in the first quarter in 8 of their last 9 games. In 16 of their last 17 away head-to-head games, the Heat have not even reached 32.5 points in that quarter. We pick Heat First Quarter Team Total Points Under 34.5 at odds of 1.45.

    Top scorers

Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.2 points per game this season. The key factor is the matchup against Sacramento. With Simmons out and Murray limited, the Kings have no answer for Giannis in the paint. He has averaged 32 points per game against Sacramento over the past three seasons. We’ll try Antetokounmpo over 29.5 player points at odds of 1.76*.

*Odds are approximate and may vary between bookmakers.

    ⭐ Editorial prediction

Miami have no players on their injury list. That is a key advantage: Spoelstra can use his full rotation, including Giannis, Adebayo and Thompson. The only question is their physical condition after the away game in San Francisco, but the three-day break should have restored the key players’ freshness. With Giannis and Adebayo, Miami should dominate the boards, where Sacramento’s defence is most vulnerable. We’ll back the visitors to win with a -6.5 handicap.
