Europa League 2024/25 Predictions: Quarter-finals: 10/04/2025

Manchester United may not be the favourites to win the Europa League, but they remain the only team to remain unbeaten both in the Champions League and this competition. They remain one of the teams to beat in this competition, and facing Lyon should further test their defensive resolve.
Rangers will welcome Athletic Bilbao in Glasgow, and the Scottish side will look to make yet another statement after eliminating Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the final round. Rangers knocked the Turkish giants out of the competition on penalties and wouldn’t mind repeating the same against the La Liga outfit.
Tottenham continue to string together poor performances in the Premier League, but Ange Postecoglou will hope his side doesn’t replicate that performance in the Europa League when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt.
We carried out extensive research on each of these matches and came out with the best possible outcomes.
Europa League quarter-final first-leg predictions: 10/04/2025
Corners to be in excess: Bodo/Glimt vs Lazio
- Date: 10/04/2025
- Kick-off: 18:45 CET
- Corners are usually plenty in matches involving Bodo/Glimt, so we will stretch out hands in this fixture.
Bodo/Glimt continued to make waves in the Europa League, and their recent victims were Olympiacos of Greece. They eliminated the Greeks on goal aggregate, thanks to their massive 3-0 home win in the first leg. Something else caught our attention in Bodo’s last two home Europa League knockout games. Nine corner kicks were served by both teams in their home game against FC Twente, and when they hosted Olympiacos, 15 corners were served. We can push to the limit by expecting at least 10 corners from the upcoming game.
Bodo/Glimt vs Lazio prediction: Total corners – over 9.5
Athletic Bilbao’s goalie to be busy: Rangers vs Athletic Bilbao
- Date: 10/04/2025
- Kick-off: 21:00 CET
- Rangers are underdogs, but they've shown they can score.
The last time Rangers hosted a Europa League knockout game, they forced off six saves from Fenerbahce’s goalie. The Scottish side is the underdog, which means they may be behind Athletic Bilbao at one point, so we expect them to push for the equaliser. The hosts may not be as brave in the attacking half against Bilbao as they were against Fenerbahce, but we expect them to walk the goalie on a few times.
Rangers vs Athletic Bilbao prediction: Away total saves – over 2.5
Eintracht Frankfurt will win many throw-ins: Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham
- Date: 10/04/2025
- Kick-off: 21:00 CET
- Tottenham regularly put the ball out of play under pressure, and we think they will be under great pressure in Germany.
Spurs continue to search for consistency in the Premier League, and occasionally, they struggle to remain consistent in the Europa League. They lost 1-0 away to AZ Alkmaar in the final round but turned things around in the second leg. The Dutch side took 20+ throw-ins in front of their fans and repeated the same in England. Eintracht Frankfurt are a better side and are expected to put more pressure on the British side in Germany. The Bundesliga side may not win as many throw-ins as AZ, but we expect a decent number of restarts from the hosts.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham prediction: Home total throw-ins – over 16.5
Lyon and Manchester United to find the back of the net: Lyon vs Manchester United
- Date: 10/04/2025
- Kick-off: 21:00 CET
- Lyon struggle to keep a clean sheet when they come up against a powerful attacking team like Manchester United.
Manchester United and Lyon are good attacking sides, who struggle to shut other good attacking sides out from scoring goals. United conceded against the likes of Rangers, Fenerbahce, Bodo/Glimt, and FC Porto, so we doubt they'll keep it clean in France against a Lyon side that scored seven goals in their last two Europa League matches.
Lyon vs Manchester United prediction: Both teams to score – yes
