Best Sportsbook Sites in Morocco

With so many betting companies in Morocco, even a familiar name and a generous welcome bonus can leave you unsure which bookie to choose. Will it accept your usual payment method? Are the odds worth a closer look? What about the mobile application? At Scores24, we compare popular sportsbook brands in Morocco, such as Melbet and Betwinner, among others. We’re particularly focused on MAD accounts, deposits, withdrawals, bonuses, and sportsbook coverage. With this guide, we want to help Moroccan bettors find a reliable betting platform that suits their needs, without guesswork.

Top Bookmakers for Moroccan Bettors

The Scores24 ranking includes bookmakers with different backgrounds, account options and live sports utilities. Melbet, Betwinner, Linebet and several other brands have operated for years, while Coldbet is a more recent addition. To give you a clearer picture of what's behind the names and ratings, we've compared leading bookmakers from our list. The table below lets you see what each bookmaker has to offer for Moroccan bettors:

How to Choose a Sports Betting Site in Morocco

Lots of brands are thrown your way when you go on the hunt for the best bookie in Morocco. Start by comparing the features you actually plan to use. If you prefer small stakes, Melbet and Betwinner both accept sports bets from €0.20, approximately 2 MAD. If you want to follow matches through your bookmaker, both provide graphical trackers for Moroccan accounts (but not live video broadcasts).

Payment options are another consideration. Melbet supports CIH Mobile and Barid Pay, while Betwinner lists Visa, DabaPay, and transfers through Moroccan banks. The choice comes down to which services suit your account and how you prefer to place bets.

Legal Situation with Online Betting in Morocco

Morocco's official sports betting system is run by La Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS). It is a state-owned organisation founded in 1962. Most locals recognize its consumer-facing brand, COTE&SPORT, which handles fixed-odds coupons and live sports coverage through web portals and thousands of physical street kiosks.

Even with this official option available, foreign sportsbooks (like Melbet and Betwinner) are highly popular throughout the kingdom. These companies hold foreign licences and offer their own sports markets, account services and promotions.

Football Betting in Morocco

Football is central to Morocco's sports calendar, with Raja, Wydad, the national team and Botola Pro attracting considerable attention. Football has a huge following across the country, from the Casablanca derby to Botola Pro matches with AS FAR and RS Berkane. The national team's fixtures and Moroccan clubs in CAF competitions are also major attractions for local punters.

European football gets plenty of attention, too. Leading bookmakers like Melbet and Betwinner cover the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, LaLiga, Ligue 1 and other major tournaments.

Pre-Match Odds and Football Markets

A Moroccan derby or a Champions League fixture can offer several ways to bet beyond the outright winner. The most common markets include:

  • 1X2 – a home win, draw or away win.
  • Double chance – two possible match outcomes in one bet.
  • Over/under – a bet on whether the total goals will exceed a specified number.
  • Both teams to score – a goal from each team.
  • Handicap – a virtual goal advantage or deficit for one side.

The odds also affect the payout. A successful 100 MAD bet at 1.85 returns 185 MAD, including the original stake. At 1.95, the same bet returns 195 MAD, a difference of 10 MAD.

Live Betting and Match Streams

Moroccan football lovers don't always wait for the final whistle to see how a match unfolds. Live bets are especially relevant during Botola derbies, Atlas Lions fixtures and big European matches, when a goal or red card can change the odds in seconds. Bookmakers place these events in a separate Live section, with current scores, in-play markets and match trackers alongside the bet slip.

For fans who want to follow the action, the type of stream makes a difference. Melbet and Betwinner provide graphical coverage for Moroccan accounts, with animated match events and score updates rather than live video.

Linebet uses a similar format. At 1xBet, registered users can find video streams for selected sports and fixtures, although many broadcasts are unavailable in Morocco. These services help bettors follow the score and available markets, but they do not replace a live television broadcast.

Other Sports Popular in Morocco

Football may have the hearts of most Moroccan sports fanatics, but horse racing, tennis, boxing and golf also have loyal followings. The Hassan II Golf Trophy in Rabat is one of the country's best-known international golf events.

Melbet and Betwinner let you bet on tennis, horse racing and several other disciplines. For local horse racing, Morocco has its own system through SOREC – it runs pari-mutuel bets on Moroccan and international races.

Esports are popular in Morocco too, with Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and League of Legends among the options. Melbet and Betwinner cover these games. We prepared a separate ranking of the best esports betting sites in Morocco if you're more into cyber games.

Welcome Bonuses at Moroccan Bookmakers

Your first encounter with an online Moroccan bookie is likely to come with a nice bonus for signing up. Welcome deals are a popular perk among local bettors, and most of the best betting sites offer them to attract new customers. The usual deal is a deposit match, where you get extra funds worth 100%, 200% or even 300% of your deposit. Some bookies spread the bonus across several deposits instead.

So, how much can you get from the bookmakers on our Scores24 list, and what are the rules?

A few things on the table deserve a closer look:

  • What does 5x rollover mean? If you receive a 100 MAD bonus, you must place bets worth a total of 500 MAD that meet the bonus rules. You can lose those bets, so this isn't a promise of profit.
  • What counts as an acca? It's one bet with several selections. Imagine a ticket with Raja to win, Wydad to win and over 2.5 goals in a third match. All three selections must be correct for that ticket to pay out.
  • Does 200% mean you get 2,000 MAD straight away? No. A 50 MAD deposit with a 200% bonus gives you an extra 100 MAD. The headline amount is simply the most you can receive.
  • Can you withdraw the bonus immediately? No. Bonus funds normally stay subject to the wagering rules until you complete the required bets. If you run out of time or lose your balance, you may never receive any withdrawable bonus winnings.

Deposits at Moroccan Bookmakers

Found a welcome bonus you like? Next comes the deposit, and Moroccan punters have quite a few ways to fund their accounts. The bookmakers in our ranking accept payments through local banks, cards and e-wallets, although the exact choice depends on the site. There's no need to have an international bank card to use every bookmaker.

Melbet, for example, accepts transfers through Attijari Bank, Société Générale, Bank-e and Saham Bank, with deposits from 20 to 12,000 MAD.

Linebet accepts Damane Cash from 20 MAD, while Betwinner accepts Visa deposits from 30 MAD. Betwinner also supports Moroccan bank transfers, and Coldbet lists Inwi Money and Orange Money among its payment options.

One thing to bear in mind with bank cards: a payment can fail even when the details are correct. Your bank may block the transaction or restrict certain international payments. If that happens, check the reason with your bank rather than try the same payment repeatedly.

MAD Accounts and Currency Conversion

Nobody wants to do mental maths every time they place a bet. That's why a MAD account is handy for Moroccan punters. Melbet, Betwinner, Linebet and 1xBet all list the dirham as an account currency, so stakes and balances appear in familiar amounts.

Not every bookie offers that convenience. If your account uses euros or another currency, your 100 MAD deposit must be converted first. The exchange rate and any bank or payment provider fees can affect how much reaches your balance.

Withdrawals from Moroccan Betting Accounts

Deposits are only half the story. When it's time to cash out, the payment method and minimum withdrawal amount can be different from those used for deposits.

Take Linebet. You can deposit through Damane Cash from 20 MAD, but you need at least 100 MAD to withdraw through the same service. Melbet, meanwhile, lists Attijari Bank withdrawals from 80 to 9,000 MAD. It's worth knowing these limits if you tend to keep a small balance in your account.

And if a withdrawal takes longer than expected? Keep the request date, amount and transaction reference handy when you contact support. A bookmaker may approve a payout before the bank or payment service actually credits the money to your account.

Morocco Betting Apps

We've covered how to deposit and withdraw money, but you don't need a computer to do either. Mobile betting is hugely popular across the region. According to a June 2026 report by Hespress, smartphones account for over 70% of sports betting activity in the Middle East and North Africa. From this report, it's easy to see why bookmakers want to cater to bettors on the go!

The bookmakers in our ranking feature Android APKs, Google Play apps, iOS software and mobile web versions. Here's what each one has:

An APK is an Android app file. To install one, open the bookmaker's official website, find the Android download link and save the file. Your phone may ask for permission to install apps outside Google Play. Grant it only for the trusted source and turn it off again afterwards.

Once installed, a bookmaker's Android app usually gives you access to pre-match odds, live bets, your bet slip, deposit and withdrawal options, and your betting history. Spinbetter, for example, lists live odds updates and quick access to past bets among its mobile features.

On an iPhone, you may get a regular iOS app or a web app. Spinbetter and AzimutBet offer the latter: open the site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The shortcut opens the bookmaker's mobile service without a separate App Store download.

Account Registration and Identity Checks

Once you’ve chosen your bookmaker, the next step is to create an account. Most operators ask for your full name, date of birth, email address and phone number. Moroccan customers can use their local number with the +212 country code.

Make sure your name matches your Moroccan national identity card (CIN/CNIE), especially if it appears in both Arabic and Latin script. Different spellings can delay verification.

Before your first withdrawal, the bookmaker may ask for a clear photo of your ID, proof of address or confirmation that the payment account belongs to you. So even if you register in just a few minutes, your first payout may take a little more paperwork. You must also be at least 18, and each bookmaker allows only one account per customer.

Customer Support for Moroccan Bettors

And what if your ID gets rejected or a withdrawal doesn't arrive? That's when you need customer support. Most Moroccan bookmakers have live chat for everyday questions. Email is useful when you need to send documents or explain a more complicated problem.

How to Resolve Disputes with Bookmakers in Morocco

A bookmaker refuses to pay your winnings, cancels a bet or blocks your account. What can you do if customer support won't help? Moroccan bettors can raise a formal complaint, but the next steps depend on the operator's licence. Melbet, Betwinner and Linebet list Curaçao licences, while Coldbet lists Anjouan.

Here's how to take the matter further:

  1. Get an explanation in writing. Ask the bookmaker which rule led to its decision. Save the emails, chat history, bet slips and any screenshots that support your case.
  2. Submit a formal complaint. Find the complaints procedure in the bookmaker's terms and conditions. Explain what happened, attach your evidence and ask for a specific resolution. Keep the complaint reference number.
  3. Contact an independent dispute service. If the bookmaker rejects your complaint or fails to resolve it, check whether its licence provides access to an approved dispute-resolution body. Use the contact details published by the regulator or the operator.

Keep in mind that a foreign gambling licence does not guarantee a refund. An independent reviewer may examine your case, but the outcome depends on the evidence, the bookmaker's rules and the powers of the relevant dispute service.

Taxes on Betting Winnings in Morocco

Morocco applies a 30% tax on online gambling winnings from foreign websites. According to the current tax updates detailed on the SiGMA World Morocco Tax Feature, local banks and payment processors must automatically deduct this amount when you transfer your payouts back into the country.

For instance, if you withdraw 1,000 MAD from an international sportsbook, the bank holds 300 MAD for the tax. You receive the remaining 700 MAD, before any standard processing fees. This deduction only applies to incoming winnings, not to your deposits or stakes.

Responsible Betting

Even a big Botola Pro derby isn't worth more than you can afford to lose. Set a monthly budget in MAD and don't increase your stakes to recover losses. Bookmakers such as Melbet, Betwinner and 1xBet provide tools to help customers manage their bets:

  • Deposit limits: cap how much you can add to your account.
  • Session reminders: keep track of time spent on the site.
  • Time-outs: take a short break from betting.
  • Self-exclusion: block access to your account for a longer period.

For example, 1xBet allows for deposit limits and self-exclusion, while Betwinner also lists session reminders and time-outs. Melbet establishes deposit restrictions, temporary account suspension and self-exclusion among its player protection measures.

Review of the Best Bookmakers

Do Moroccan bookmakers offer welcome bonuses?

Yes. Melbet, Betwinner, Linebet, 1xBet and other bookmakers provide welcome bonuses to new customers in Morocco. Most give extra funds on the first deposit, while some spread the bonus across several deposits.

Do welcome bonuses have wagering requirements?

Yes. You can't withdraw bonus winnings straight away. Betwinner has a 5x rollover; Melbet requires 8x. This means you must place bets worth 5 or 8 times your bonus before you can withdraw the winnings. For a 100 MAD bonus, that's 500 MAD at Betwinner or 800 MAD at Melbet.

Can I use Moroccan dirhams (MAD) at online bookmakers?

Yes. Melbet, Betwinner, Linebet and 1xBet let you keep your balance and place bets in MAD, so there's no need to convert every stake into euros or dollars. You can also deposit through Moroccan banks and local payment services.

How do I complete KYC verification in Morocco?

Use your full legal name and date of birth as shown on your Moroccan national identity card (CIN/CNIE). When the bookmaker requests verification, submit a clear copy of your ID. You may also need proof of address or proof that the payment account belongs to you. Your personal details must match across the documents.
