Premier League 2024/25 predictions: Gameweek 15

09 Feb, 13:35

How will Manchester United respond against Nottingham Forest following their 2-0 away defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday night?

Manchester City ended their drastic form with a comfortable 3–0 win over Nottingham Forest, but was that a fluke? Arsenal and Chelsea maintained their winning form and will naturally think about continuing from where they left off.

We based our Premier League 2024/25 gameweek 15 predictions on current form, expert knowledge, and data.

Premier League 2024/25 Gameweek 15 Predictions: 07/12 - 09/12

Liverpool to bounce back to winning ways in Merseyside derby: Everton vs Liverpool

  • Date: 07/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 13:30
  • Everton secured a huge win last time, but they have a slim chance of continuing their momentum against Liverpool

Liverpool dropped points in the last round against Newcastle United, but they are eager to return to winning ways, and Arne Slot wouldn’t have asked for a different team than Everton. Everton may have secured a huge 4-0 win over Wolves in the last round, but there are ideas that they are likely to return to their rancid form, as the Reds have dominated the Toffees in these meetings over the years.

Everton vs Liverpool prediction 07/12/2024: Away team to win

Brentford and Newcastle United are set to showcase their attacking capabilities: Brentford vs Newcastle United

  • Date: 07/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 16:00
  • Matches involving either team commonly produce many goals, and we expect this encounter to follow suit

Brentford lost 4-1 away to Aston Villa on Wednesday, as Newcastle United held Liverpool to an entertaining 3-3 draw at home. It’s obvious matches involving either team rarely end in a drab manner, so we expect this encounter to be a positive advert for good attacking football.

Brentford vs Newcastle United prediction 07/12/2024: Over 2.5 goals

Aston Villa to maintain their momentum: Aston Villa vs Southampton

  • Date: 07/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 16:00
  • Villa successfully ended their winless run of nine matches with a commanding win over Brentford in the last round and will only focus on building on that

Southampton continue to display dreadful performance, even in front of their fans. They lost 5-1 at home to Chelsea, and they rarely put in a stellar shift as visitors. The Saints stand no chance of salvaging at least a draw because they successfully ended their winless form in style and will only think about building on that.

Aston Villa vs Southampton prediction 07/12/2024: Home team to win

Crystal Palace to show proper resistance in Selhurst Park: Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

  • Date: 07/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 16:00
  • Crystal Palace sometimes are a hard nut to crack for Manchester City, and they may manage the game to a draw, thanks to Man City’s current form

Manchester City may have ended their winless run against Nottingham Forest, but can they maintain this momentum as visitors against annoying Palace? I'm not entirely convinced.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City prediction 07/12/2024: Away team to win or draw

Manchester United to bounce back to winning ways: Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest

  • Date: 07/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 18:30
  • Man United will look to show a response to the defeat to Arsenal when they host struggling Nottingham Forest

Manchester United suffered their first loss since the sacking of Erik ten Hag when they lost to Arsenal away. Nottingham also suffered a big defeat and 3rd defeat in their last five league games on the road to Man City. As visitors, the Tricky Trees struggle to compete against the top players, and we believe that United will put in a strong effort and secure all three points.

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest prediction 07/12/2024: Home team to win

Fulham to succumb to a defeat in London: Fulham vs Arsenal

  • Date: 08/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 15:00
  • The Cottagers have always struggled against Arsenal, and we think the same can repeat this term

Fulham only managed one win in their last 12 meetings with Arsenal, although they avoided a defeat against the Gunners last season. However, managing just one win in 12 games against Mikel Arteta’s side, who beat Manchester United 2-0 in the last round, isn’t good enough for the Cottagers to get something off this encounter.

Fulham vs Arsenal prediction 08/12/2024: Away team to win

Leicester City and Brighton to exchange goals: Leicester City vs Brighton

  • Date: 08/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 15:00
  • The Foxes exchanged goals in the last round under a new manager, and we expect this trend to continue in the upcoming game

Leicester City thrashed West Ham United 3-1 at home in midweek to hand Ruud van Nistelrooy a winning start as the Foxes’ manager, and they will only think about maintaining their goalscoring form. Brighton are a good goalscoring team that loves scoring against any opponents. They have already scored against Liverpool and Man City, so what are the chances of them failing to score against Leicester, who are still in the process of impressing their new Dutch manager?

Leicester City vs Brighton prediction 08/12/2024: Both teams to score - yes

Ipswich Town to struggle in front of their fans: Ipswich Town vs Bournemouth

  • Date: 08/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 15:00
  • The hosts lost in the last round at home to Crystal Palace, and they are unlikely to turn their form around against Bournemouth

Bournemouth are clear of Ipswich Town in terms of squad quality, and they will push to get all three points. In a sense where they find it too hard to achieve, then a draw wouldn’t be bad. The Cherries are in better form than the newly promoted side, so siding with the visitors to avoid a defeat is a good call.

Ipswich Town vs Bournemouth prediction 08/12/2024: Away team to win or draw

Tottenham and Chelsea to display their attacking prowess: Tottenham vs Chelsea

  • Date: 08/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 17:30
  • Both teams love scoring goals and struggle to keep clean sheets, and we expect this tie to follow suit

Tottenham are so inconsistent that they win big matches but struggle against average sides. They thrashed Manchester City 4-0 away from home and then drew with AS Roma in the Europa League at home some days later. Before the City win, they lost 2-1 at home to Ipswich Town. However, one thing is certain here: they don’t struggle to score goals. Chelsea are playing well, scoring many goals without looking back, just as they did against Southampton in the last round. It’s not a stretch to expect at least three goals from this encounter, as the majority of their meetings in recent seasons ended in this manner.

Tottenham vs Chelsea prediction 08/12/2024: Over 2.5 goals

West Ham United and Wolves to exchange goals: West Ham United vs Wolves

  • Date: 09/12/2024
  • Kick-off: 21:00
  • Both teams score goals and concede goals as easily as it gets, and we expect this trend to continue in this encounter

West Ham scored a goal as they lost to Leicester City on Tuesday night, while Wolves went blank against Everton in a 4-0 defeat on the road. That was the first time in a long time they didn’t score a goal. The Wanderers are fond of scoring two goals per game, and they haven’t gone two games without scoring a goal this term. Wolves struggled to score in the last round, so it would be unusual if they failed to score in the upcoming game. Additionally, they have conceded 36 goals in 14 league games so far.

West Ham vs Wolves prediction 09/12/2024: Both teams to score - yes
