FA Cup 2024/25 predictions: Round of 32: January 11-12

09 Feb, 13:35

The biggest game in this round of the 2024/25 FA Cup is definitely the Arsenal vs Manchester United encounter that will take place at the Emirates Stadium. Both teams have won this competition the most, and it will be interesting to see how the match unfolds.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa and West Ham United will face off at Villa Park, while Manchester City and Liverpool will find it easy to defeat Salford City and Accrington Stanley, respectively.

This week’s FA Cup round of 32 predictions were made based on data, current form and expert knowledge.

FA Cup 2024/25 predictions and betting tips: Round of 32: January 11-12

Bristol City and Wolves to display their attacking prowess: Bristol City vs Wolves

  • Date: 11/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 13:00
  • Matches involving either team are fond of producing at least three goals, and we expect this trend to continue in the upcoming match.

Two of Bristol City’s last five matches may have ended with three or more goals, but this draw may produce at least three because four of Wolves’ last five matches ended with at least three goals. Both teams may be able to get on the scoreboard, which suggests this tie would likely produce three or more goals.

Bristol City vs Wolves prediction 11/01/2025: Over 2.5 goals

Liverpool to advance to the round of 16: Liverpool vs Accrington Stanley

  • Date: 11/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 13:15
  • Accrington Stanley are in dire form and stand no chance of creating any upset at Anfield.

Accrington Stanley are fighting against relegation in League Two and will rather focus on staying up in the division than advancing further in the FA Cup, which suggests the Reds are likely to secure a huge win.

Liverpool vs Accrington Stanley prediction 11/01/2025: Home team to win

Chelsea to end their winless run of four matches: Chelsea vs Morecambe

  • Date: 11/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 16:00
  • Morecambe are in rancid form, and there’s not a single chance they can put in a good shift against Chelsea in London.

Morecambe sit in 23rd place in League Two, and coming up against a Premier League team fighting for the title away from home isn’t the kind of encounter teams like this can dream of causing any upset. Chelsea are winless in their last four matches, but this is where they are likely to get back to winning.

Chelsea vs Morecambe prediction: Home team to win

Manchester City to display their attacking mastery in Manchester : Manchester City vs Salford City

  • Date: 11/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 18:45
  • Man City are getting back to their best, and they will continue their winning run against Salford City.

Manchester City’s last game against West Ham United ended with five goals, and when they are at their best, many goals are scored. Salford City are a lower division team that will only be wary of how many goals they can concede at the Etihad this weekend. We think the upcoming game may have at least four goals in it.

Manchester City vs Salford City prediction  11/01/2025: Over 3.5 goals

Tottenham to score in both halves: Tamworth vs Tottenham

  • Date: 12/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 13:30
  • Tamworth are unlikely to shut Spurs out from exerting their attacking prowess in both halves.

Tottenham have one of the best attacks in England, and they will relish the chance to display that against a lower division team like Tamworth. It is increasingly likely that the visitors can score in both halves, and we expect them to, given that the hosts’ defense isn’t one of the best.

Tamworth vs Tottenham prediction 12/01/2025: Away team to score in both teams - yes

Newcastle United to proceed to the next round: Newcastle United vs Bromley

  • Date: 12/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 16:00
  • Bromley will rather avoid an embarrassing defeat than try to put up a fight to cause any upset.

Bromley are nowhere near the standard of Newcastle United and have no quality that can put up a fight against Newcastle. The Magpies are in decent form, having won against Spurs and Manchester United in recent days. Games like this will always be a walkover for Eddie Howe’s men.

Newcastle United vs Bromley prediction 12/01/2025: Home team to win

Arsenal and Manchester United to exchange goals in London: Arsenal vs Manchester United

  • Date: 12/01/2025
  • Kick-off: 16:00
  • Arsenal are struggling to keep clean sheets lately, and they are unlikely to keep one against a Man United side aiming to lay their hands on a trophy this term.

Arsenal may have a good defense, but they are unlikely to keep a clean sheet against Manchester United. The Red Devils scored against the likes of Spurs, Man City and Liverpool, and they are likely to score against Arsenal, as it looks like they find it relatively easy to exchange shots against the top sides.

Arsenal vs Manchester United prediction 12/01/2025: Both teams to score - yes
